Frequency Allocation
It will be the policy of the
club to allocate a dedicated frequency to each flyer up to a membership of 35.
This will ensure that each member will have exclusive use of his or her own
frequency and therefore should drastically reduce the possibility of a
frequency clash with another member and subsequent crash of one or both models.
Where we have to be vigilant
is when new members arrive with their models and probably have their radio
equipment already on an allocated frequency. In addition, when visitors or guests
arrive on our flying site we will have to be careful and not expect that we
have exclusivity of our own frequency. It is all about being vocal and ensuring
everyone knows the rules.
To that end, we will still
introduce and operate a peg board system which will be of the PEG-ON variety.
This means that if you wish to fly on your frequency you put your Frequency Peg
ONTO the hook corresponding to your frequency number on the Peg Board before
flying. Please do not carry spare Pegs
for your frequency as this will give a false indication of frequencies in use.
Of course, all of this comes
to naught if you have purchased the new Spectrum 2.4Ghz Frequency set of
radio…. Guaranteed no frequency clashes
and totally free from interference… !!
As of 9th September
the following are the allocated frequencies.
Please let the Webmaster know if any of the below are incorrect.
