Frequency Allocation
It will be the policy of the
club to allocate a dedicated frequency to each flyer up to a membership of 26.
This will ensure that each member will have exclusive use of his or her own
frequency and therefore should drastically reduce the possibility of a
frequency clash with another member and subsequent crash of one or both models.
Where we have to be vigilant
is when new members arrive with their models and probably have their radio
equipment already on an allocated frequency. In addition, when visitors or
guests arrive on our flying site(s) we will have to be careful and not expect
that we have exclusivity of our own frequency.
To that end, we will still
introduce and operate a peg board system which will be of the peg-off variety.
This means that if you wish to fly on your frequency you take your Frequency
Peg off the Peg Board before flying. Please do not carry spare Pegs for your
frequency as this will give a false indication of frequencies in use.
At a later stage we will
publish the frequencies allocated to current and paid up members of the club.
Of course, all of this comes
to naught if you have purchased the new Spectrum 2.4Ghz Frequency set of radio…. Guaranteed no frequency clashes and totally
free from interference… !!
